- Found in Bronvaux near Metz (France) of a medlar grafted on hawthorn in M. Dardar's garden. The second graft hybrid to occur on the same hawthorn was named Crataegomespilus Asnieresi by M. Lucien Daniel
Growth habit :
- Small tree, wide-spreading, very thorny with medlar-like foliage
Foliage :
- The leaves are medlar leaves. See also Crataegomespilus Bonnieri
Flowers :
- White flowers in corymb with 15 to 20 stamens
Fruits :
- Small brown medlar-like fruits
